After you pay for a course, any assignments you submitted before paying will count toward your Certificate.

Some courses let you pre-enroll and pay the course fee before the course opens.

If you pay for a new course before the start date of the course, your refund, Certificate eligibility, and feature access periods will start on the course’s start date, not on your payment date

When you pay for a course, your payment will expire 180 days from the payment date, or 180 days from the start date of the course, whichever is later. During this 180-day period, you may attempt the course multiple times.

If you don’t earn your Certificate within 180 days, you’ll need to pay the fee again.
This expiration policy may be different for some courses. Check your course’s information page and your payment confirmation email for any exceptions.

Pre-payment for Specializations

To pre-pay for a Specialization, you will need to do so when you enroll in the Specialization or when you enroll in your first course in the Specialization.

Some Specializations let you pre-enroll and pay before the first course in the Specialization begins. If you pay before the start date, your refund and Specialization Certificate eligibility periods will begin on the course’s start date, not on your payment date.

If you pre-pay for an entire Specialization, your payment will expire one year (365 days) from the payment date, or one year from the date that the first course in the Specialization opens, whichever is later.

During this one-year period, you may attempt multiple retakes of any course in the Specialization.

If you don’t earn your Specialization Certificate within one year, you’ll get Course Certificates for each course you finished. You’ll need to pay the individual fees for any courses you haven’t finished.

If you choose to pay by course for a Specialization, the course payment policies apply each time you pay for a separate course.

These expiration policies may be different for some Specializations. Check your Specialization’s information page and your payment confirmation email for any exceptions.

Subscribing to a course

When you subscribe to a course that is part of a specialization, you will automatically be subscribed to the entire specialization.
